Library Assistants visit the MHS Archives

A group of MHS library assistants visited the Melbourne High School Archives along with Catherine Morton and Denise Beanland. The Archivist, Jock Murphy, gave the group an introductory talk – which included the sharing of a not-so-resplendent report belonging to a boy in 1936! The group then had a look at the treasures to be found in the John Elden Room, before braving the wind outside on top of the Tower. Thanks for a great visit, and a number of the boys showed an interest in joining the Heritage Club.

  1. I love it!! These curiosities are wonderful things for students to see. Maybe they could take interested parents on evening tours! Great stuff. I might look at doing something similar in our school.
