Governor General’s visit to Melbourne High School

The School was honoured yesterday with the presence of Her Excellency, the Governor General Quentin Bryce to present the inaugural Lambis Englezos Scholarship.
Lambis is an Old Boy whose persistent research led to the discovery of over 250 soldiers in unmarked graves at Fromelle He gave a fascinating and moving presentation of his endeavours over the years to find the missing fallen. Lambis has agreed to assist Melbourne High School in researching and reclaiming the histories of the nine Old Boys who were amongst the fallen.
The M.H.S Foundation has introduced a tertiary scholarship in his name, to be presented to a student whose studies will include Australian-French relationships. Aaron Zee was presented with this prestigious award by the Governor General.
